The hugely successful British television series FATHER DEAR FATHER is transplanted to Australia when novelist Patrick Glover (Patrick Cargill) and his assistant Nanny (Noel Dyson) trek down under to write the great Australian crime novel, and end up supervising Patrick's boisterous young nieces while their own father is abroad.

While Liz (Sally Conabere) and Sue (Sigird Thornton) must learn to understand their conservative uncle, Patrick must also adjust to a new life in Australia, with hilarious consequences.

Patrick Glover lands in Australia with his assistant Nanny and meets up with brother Jeffrey. They settle in at the family home, have dinner with Liz and Sue and discover that Jeffrey is soon leaving for London. Patrick faces the responsibility of looking after his two impressionable nieces.
